The esteemed speakers for today's guest lecture are:
Gausia Shaikh & Urmika Tripathi
Gausia Shaikh is Legal Consultant at REDD Intelligence Asia, a Singapore-based firm that provides breaking insolvency and restructuring news and analysis across emerging markets in Asia. She is a lawyer by qualification. Previously, she has been a consultant with the World Bank Group and has worked with leading organisations such as AZB & Partners and the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research. Her work has been published in Indian and foreign publications, such as the International Comparative Legal Guide and Business Standard. She has also presented at conferences organised by Harvard Law School, INSOL India and the UNCITRAL-RCAP. Further, she co-authored a chapter in an IBBI publication that compiled the journey of Indian insolvency law reforms. She has previously also taught insolvency law to the LLM batch at the NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law. She is an alumna of the Government Law College, Mumbai and the University of London.
Urmika Tripathi is a Legal Consultant at REDD Intelligence Asia, a Singapore-based firm that provides breaking insolvency and restructuring news and analysis across emerging markets in Asia. She completed her law degree in 2016 from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. She has previously worked for AZB & Partners for three years and has extensive experience in the space of insolvency and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. She has written several academic papers and legal reports while pursuing her law degree as well as in her current role at REDD. Having spent four years in the legal profession as a commercial lawyer as well as a legal analyst, she has an expertise in understanding legal issues from a commercial perspective and presenting them in a manner easily understandable by lawyers and non-lawyers alike.
